Draft resource operations plan

The Logan Basin draft Resource Operations Plan was released on 17 December 2008 for public comment—submissions have closed. A summary brochure (PDF, 968 kB)* and explanatory notes (PDF, 382 kB)* accompany the draft plan.

Request to modify interests in a water allocation

Attachment 7 of the Logan Basin draft Resource Operations Plan contains a list of water entitlement holders whose entitlements will be converted to water allocations when the resource operations plan is finalised. If there are changes to the tenancy arrangements listed on your water entitlement, please inform the chief executive by completing a Section 101(1)(a) - Request to modify interests in a water allocation form (PDF, 194 kB)*.

Intention to prepare an amended draft water resource plan

On 26 July 2007, the Minister for Natural Resources and Water announced his intention to amend the Logan Basin Water Resource Plan (PDF, 288 kB)* to include water in a watercourse, lake, wetland, subartesian aquifer or spring in the Southern Moreton Bay Islands area. A moratorium (PDF, 517 kB)* has been declared for the subartesian area of North Stradbroke Island.

Water resource plan

The minister released the Water Resource (Logan Basin) Plan 2007 in March 2007. Supporting explanatory notes are available.

In September 2007, a minor amendment to schedule 7 of the plan was made under section 57 of the Water Act 2000. The Water Resource (Logan Basin) Amendment Plan (No. 1) 2007 [SL No. 242] more accurately specifies interim water entitlements detailed in schedule 7.
