Current status of planning activities

Draft resource operations plan

The Gulf draft Resource Operations Plan (PDF, 886 kB)* was released on 24 October 2008 for public comment—submissions have now closed. A summary (PDF, 1.42 MB)* accompanies the draft plan.

Request to modify interests in a water allocation

Attachments 7 and 8 of the Gulf draft Resource Operations Plan contain lists of water entitlement holders whose entitlements will be converted to water allocations when the resource operations plan is finalised. If there are changes to the tenancy arrangements listed on your water entitlement please inform the Chief Executive of the Department of Natural Resources and Water by completing a Section 101(1)(a)-Request to modify interests in a water allocation form (PDF, 194 kB)*.

Water resource plan

The Minister for Natural Resources and Water released the Water Resource (Gulf) Plan 2007 (listed as item 268) in November 2007. To read the supporting explanatory notes, click the icon next to the plan in item 268.

Community consultation

In finalising the plan, the minister considered all properly-made submissions about the draft plan. The Gulf Water Resource Plan consultation Report (PDF, 395 kB)* summarises the issues raised during the consultation process and how they have been dealt with in finalising the water resource plan.
