Current status of planning activities

Draft resource operations plan

The Burdekin Basin draft Resource Operations Plan (PDF, 3.8 MB)* was released on 24 October 2008 for public comment—the submission period has now closed. A summary (PDF, 399 kB)* accompanies the draft plan.

Request to modify interests in a water allocation

Attachment 6 of the Burdekin Basin draft Resource Operations Plan contains a list of water entitlement holders whose entitlements will be converted to water allocations when the resource operations plan is finalised. If there are changes to the tenancy arrangements listed on your water entitlement please inform the Chief Executive of the Department of Natural Resources and Water by completing a Section 101(1)(a) - Request to modify interests in a water allocation form (PDF, 194 kB)*.

Water resource plan

The Water Resource (Burdekin Basin) Plan 2007 was approved on 2 August 2007. In finalising the plan, the Minister considered all properly made submissions about the draft plan. Explanatory notes (item 189— click on the icon to the right of the main entry) accompany the plan.

Community consultation

The Burdekin Basin Water Resource Plan consultation report (PDF, 407 kB)* summarises the issues raised during the consultation process and how they have been dealt with in finalising the water resource plan.
