Current status of planning activities

Resource operations plan

The minister released the Border Rivers ROP in March 2008 following a period of consultation and review that began with the release of a draft plan in January 2007.

Community Consultation

The Consultation Report (PDF, 483 kB)* for the Border Rivers Resource Operations Plan was released in September 2008. This report documents how the issues raised in submissions on the draft Border Rivers Resource Operations Plan were considered and addressed in the finalised plan.

Water resource amendment plan

The Water Resource (Border Rivers) Plan 2003 (listed under the Water Act 2000) has been amended, principally to support interstate trading of supplemented water allocations with New South Wales, which administers the southern part of the Border Rivers catchment.

Community consultation

A community consultation report (PDF, 470 kB)* summarises the issues raised by the public and how they have been dealt with in finalising the Water Resource (Border Rivers) Amendment Plan 2007 (item 126).
