Water management publications
A number of publications are available concerning water management in Queensland.
Other publications available include information on the water resource planning process and annual reports for water resource plans.
Brochures
Water Act 2000 information brochures
There are over 10 information brochures available. These information brochures cover a variety of topics including, water trading, the code for stock and domestic water supply and applying for water related development permits.
Fact sheets
The Department produces fact sheets to provide information about the sustainable management of Queensland’s resources.

Flood management publications
A number of reports relating to flood management are available, including the following:

Water reform information papers
A series of nine information papers were developed in November 2002 to provide information on the history of water reform in Queensland and current regulatory practices in regard to rural water pricing.
Discussion papers
Water trading options paper
Entitled 'Managing the effects of Water Trading on Water Service Providers' (PDF, 173kB)* this paper discusses some of the issues that can arise for water service providers and water users as permanent trading of water allocations becomes available in Queensland. Rural water pricing discussion papers
Public submissions on the following two discussion papers closed on 30 September 2004. A summary of submissions (PDF, 33 kB)* is available.
‘Future rural water pricing for SunWater schemes’ (PDF, 185 kB)* discusses key issues in rural water pricing and includes comments from key stakeholders
‘Local management of SunWater schemes’ (PDF, 111 kB)* outlines the local management issues and provides options on the best possible local management structures for SunWater schemes in Queensland.
