RWUE database

The RWUE database contains information on best practice irrigation management. It focuses on irrigation efficiency and water-use efficiency issues, and related topics such as salinity and water recycling that affect irrigation management.

The collection contains abstracts of documents and, where possible, provides a link to either:

  • the publisher's website where users can negotiate access to the full-text document
  • the full-text document itself, if this is freely available over the internet.

Queensland irrigators can obtain a copy of any full-text document free of charge by contacting RWUE/SEQIF

What is included

To be included in the database documents must comply with all of the following criteria:

  • The author, the organisation the author represents, or the publisher, is recognised by the RWUE Initiative as having the authority to comment on irrigation issues.
  • There is sufficient information in the document on at least one of the topics of the database.
  • The data in the document is applicable to Queensland climate and soil conditions.
  • The information is presented in English in a clear and logical manner.
  • The full-text document must be available for access or purchase by the public, i.e. unpublished material will not be included. The database contains references to journal articles, conference papers, reports and book chapters on irrigation and water-use efficiency issues. At present, it covers Australian research published from 1995 onwards.
