Cotton Australia is the peak industry organisation servicing cotton growers in northern NSW and Qld.
Cotton Catchment Communities CRC
This cotton research organisation's website provides a wealth of information on cotton production, including water management.
Dairy
Queensland Dairyfarmers' Organisation (QDO)
QDO is one of the RWUE industry partners - their website is currently under construction.
Subtropical Dairy Program
SDP is a research and development organisation for subtropical dairy regions from northern NSW to far north Qld. It is part of the national Dairy Australia research program. The website provides information about their activities.
Horticulture
Growcom
Growcom is the peak horticulture organisation for Queensland. Growcom is one of the RWUE industry partners and their website has information on their RWUE program "Water for Profit". Other resources are available to subscribers.
Lifestyle horticulture
Flower Association of Queensland Inc. (FAQI)
FAQI is the peak industry organisation for cut flower growers, grower groups and allied traders. This website offers factsheets, media releases and industry survey data.
Nursery & Garden Industry Queensland (NGIQ)
NGIQ is the professional body for production and retail nurseries, garden centres and allied traders. Their website gives access to NGIQ members, publications, press releases and links to other websites.
Queensland Turf Producers Assn (QTPA)
QTPA is a peak body for the turf producers of Queensland. Their website provides access to a range of articles, tips and statistics on turf production.
Sugar
Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations (BSES)
BSES is "the principal provider of research, development and extension to the Australian sugar industry." Most of the data available through this site, however, is only available to subscribers.
BSES - RWUE Bundaberg
This website describes the activities and achievements of the Bundaberg RWUE sugar program. It includes a range of irrigation factsheets and articles.
Canegrowers
Canegrowers is the peak representative body for Australian sugarcane growers. Canegrowers is one of the RWUE industry partners and have information on this site about their RWUE program.
Sugar Research & Development Corporation (SRDC)
SRDC "works in partnership with the Australian sugarcane industry and the Australian Government to foster an innovative and sustainable sugarcane industry, through targeted investment in research and development."
Irrigation organisations
CRC for Irrigation Futures (CRC-IF)
"The CRC for Irrigation Futures was formed in 2003 to deliver research, education and training which gives confidence to growers, industry, governments and the communities to invest in better irrigation, a better environment and a better future." Information on research projects and technical publications on a range of irrigation research topics can be found here. The website also has a page on their involvement in the SEQ-IF program.
Irrigation Australia Limited (IAL)
The IAL website provides "a world of information about the irrigation industry and irrigation practices in Australia" for a range of sectors, including irrigators, local governments, irrigation consultants, manufacturers, retailers and installers. The IAL has been developing irrigation training programs and information on these can be found here, along with papers from IAL national conferences.
National Program for Sustainable Irrigation (NPSI)
The NPSI "invests in research to improve the sustainability of irrigation practices in Australia." The NPSI website has information on their research projects and an abstracted database covering Australian irrigation research. The website also links to an economic ready reckoner that "assists irrigators to decide when to use evaporation mitigation technologies (EMT). The Reckoner consists of two parts - an EXCEL spreadsheet program and a manual."
Other
National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture (NCEA)
The NCEA " specialises in undertaking engineering research relevant to the agribusiness sector and the natural resource base it utilises." This website has a considerable number of technical publications available for downloading, including the final report on the RWUEI funded evaporation mitigation project.
