Client maps
The department can produce maps for clients in hardcopy or as digital files, using government and non-government spatial data in map form to meet special requirements.
Brisbane suburb maps
There are 169 Brisbane suburb maps (using 2001 imagery) available. These maps are big enough to locate houses, street names, parks, schools, major shopping complexes and local emergency services.

Suburb maps can be purchased from any NRW service centre. Prices and a list of available titles can be found in the Products and services catalogue.
Custom maps
We can also supply custom-generated maps displaying datasets such as:
- rectified aerial photography (when available)
- cadastral boundaries
- contour lines and grids
Detailed information is available in the Custom mapping fact sheet.
Tactual maps
In conjunction with the Queensland Tactual Mapping Committee, the department has produced over 60 tactual maps for blind and vision impaired people, to help them in everyday situations (e.g. visiting the Brisbane City Mall). Braille and low vision users have indicated that they appreciate the independence and mobility these maps give them.
The maps are simplified, generalised maps that have been prepared with particular attention to line size, symbols, patterns and use of braille. They are usually printed with a low vision version on one side and a braille raised image on the reverse.
Tactual maps and further information can be obtained by contacting Tactile Mapping or the
