The Department of Natural Resources and Water collects and makes available extensive digital data. This includes address, place names, administrative, cadastral, elevation, geodetic, geoscience, reference, vegetation, and water data.

The digital data is available in one of three forms:

• Packaged data sets produced and issued annually.
• Comprehensive data sets that are issued more frequently, cover parts of the state, or have additional data to that available in packaged data, in quantities determined by the department.
• Customer selectable options from the comprehensive data sets.

All digital data is supplied with a licence. These licences permit customers to use the supplied data in different ways.

A series of information sheets, sample data, and sample licences can be accessed to help you select the specific data and type of licence to best suit your needs. The prices applicable are published and vary dependent upon the choices you make.
