Surveying

Material has been extracted from initial draft compilations authored by Bill Kitson, former Senior Curator of the Museum of Lands Mapping and Surveying. A hard-copy publication on the history of surveying in Queensland titled "Surveying Queensland 1839-1945. A Pictorial History" has since been published. 

Mapping  

Much of the information contained within the mapping content has been remixed from an unpublished compilation authored by Mr Des Diggles, titled 'Mapping Queensland'. This has been partly derived from the publication 'A History of Mapping in the Survey Office, Queensland' authored by Mr L. Duffy, Survey Office, Lands Department, Queensland, 1971.
