Natural Resources Awareness Grants 2009 recipients announced
The successful applicants of the Natural Resources Awareness Grants for 2009 have been announced. More than $100 000 in funding will be provided for 17 projects across the state.
Great Artesian Basin Sustainability Initiative (GABSI)
The Great Artesian Sustainability Initiative (GABSI) provides financial assistance to landholders to rehabilitate bores and replace bore drains with piped systems, which help preserve water and restore artesian pressure.
Cultural Heritage grants programs
The department administers two grant programs dealing with the management and protection of cultural heritage sites (up to $15,000) and assistance to registered cultural heritage bodies (up to $10,000) to fulfil their legislative role under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Heritage Acts 2003.

Q150 Community Funding Program
The state will celebrate its 150th birthday in 2009 and all Queenslanders are being encouraged to participate. The Government has provided $4 million to help communities plan and stage celebrations to mark the occasion.
