Marketing forest products 

NRW Forest Products, the department's commercial forestry business group, works in partnership with government agencies, industry, landholders and the community to ensure Queensland's natural forest and quarry resources are used effectively and managed responsibly, now and for the future.

The business group's goal is to maximise financial returns to the state from the sale of natural forest products and quarry materials, while taking account of social, environmental and cultural expectations.

To achieve this, NRW Forest Products responsibly manages the sale of products such as native hardwoods, cypress pine, and quarry materials from state forests, timber reserves and other state-controlled lands in four forest management areas across Queensland.

Each year, NRW Forest Products publishes a pocket-size guide summarising the business unit's performance and achievements.
