Cultural Heritage Grants Program

The Cultural Heritage Grants Program provides limited financial assistance of up to $15,000 towards projects which aim to preserve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage sites and areas in Queensland.

Cultural Heritage Body Grants Program

The Cultural Heritage Body Grants Program provides financial assistance of up to $10,000 to registered cultural heritage bodies in Queensland to help them fulfil their legislative role under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 and the Torres Strait Islander Act 2003.

Registered cultural heritage bodies wishing to apply for funding need to complete a Cultural Heritage Body Grant application form (PDF, 97 kB)*

Indigenous Heritage Program—Commonwealth Department of the Environment and Water Resources

The Indigenous Heritage Program is an Australian Government initiative which provides around $3.5 million each year to support projects that identify, conserve and promote the Indigenous heritage values of places important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
