NRW offers students opportunities for vacation employment and work experience to help them develop their skills and learn more about our role in managing Queensland’s natural resources.

If you are interested in work experience and/or vacation employment with us, provide your details on the registration form.

We will retain your information on our system for six months.  If there is an opportunity to place you in a business unit within that period, someone from the unit will contact you to make further arrangements.

What opportunities are there in NRW?

NRW includes a wide range of business areas, with opportunities for vacation work and/or work experience often available in engineering, finance, human resources, policy, and land resources business units.

Positions are usually available twice yearly, during the July holidays and the December–January holidays, though this may vary according to the needs of business units. Opportunities linked to particular projects or activities also occur at other times.
