Statement of Affairs
The Freedom of Information Act 1992 (the FOI Act) requires each government agency to publish an up-to-date statement of the agency's affairs annually. The legislation requires that the statement describe:
- the agency's structure and functions and how they affect the community
- how members of the public can participate in developing the agency's policies and exercising its functions
- the kinds of documents held by, and the literature available from, the agency
- all bodies of two or more people, which exist to advise the agency
- what arrangements the agency has in place to enable members of the public to pursue matters under the FOI Act.
