Disability Service Plan
The Disability Services Act 2006 provides a foundation for promoting the rights of people with a disability, increasing their well being and encouraging their participation in the life of the community. It includes measures to safeguard the rights and safety of people with a disability and combines with existing systems to improve the quality of services they receive.
In accordance with the requirements of the Disability Services Act 2006, NRW has developed a Disability Service Plan 2007-2010 (PDF, 80 kB)* identifying opportunities to improve services and outcomes for customers, stakeholders and staff with a disability.
Achievements and progress in implementing improved services for people with a disability will be reported in the department's Annual Report, commencing in 2007-08 and annually thereafter. The plan will be reviewed every three years and updated.
