Purpose of the report

This annual report details the financial and non-financial performance of NRW for the 2006–07 financial year. It highlights the work, achievements, activities and strategic initiatives of the department, and satisfies the requirements of Queensland’s Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977.

The report also details progress against the department’s strategic plan and documents how the department’s work contributes to the government’s priority of protecting the environment for a sustainable future.

Our partners

The department works collaboratively with other organisations that have a role and interest in natural resources and water, including other state government agencies, local and federal governments, regional natural resource management bodies, industry and special interest groups, landholders, and the general community, to deliver on the government’s agenda.
